Let’s say good bye!

These thoughts are grounded in the huge transition that is upon us as we have moved from eight glorious years of ministry in Malmö, Sweden, and are transitioning to a year of traveling around the USA and then heading into retirement ~ and retreading for the next season of life and ministry that God has in store for team Swanson.

Enjoying an espresso on the streets of Lund on our sabbath day ~ coffee and sabbath and Lund go well together!

Sabbath, coffee and Lund were a welcome escape from this ~ our garage that kept getting filled with "stuff" that needed to be dealt with...except that we were tired of dealing with "stuff"...

Sometimes we joke around and say to each other that we'll be dealing with stuff and moving until Jesus comes back!  Actually, there's a deep truth in that statement, even if it's mentioned in jest...

The expression on Barb's face tells it all...we left Malmö with sunshine and warm weather, to go to the beach in Falsterbo, about a 30 minute ride away...only to find it cold and cloudy...just couldn't get away from all that stuff!

Barb got the chance to hang out with a friend, drink a smoothie at Joe & the Juice, and pretend that she was a young Viking ~ check out the braid!

The wall of letters in Wesleykyrkan at our farewell service ~ envelopes addressed to us at our new address in the USA so that friends can stay in touch.  SWEET!

A beautiful portrait of Jesus and the children painted by a dear friend and follower of Jesus.  We are waiting to have our own permanent place in the USA to find a home for this beautiful piece of artwork ~
